Medina Catering 

Welcome to Medina Catering! Established in 2018, we are inspired by the vibrant flavours of the Mediterranean and Middle East. Helen takes pride in crafting delicious dishes perfect for relaxed, feel-good dining experiences at festivals, markets, or family parties. 

I started out as a vegetable gardener, i was influenced by Rosemary Verey a garden designer who used the French Potager for inspiration in her Gloucestershire Garden.  Growing vegetables for ornamental as well as culinary purpose appealed to me.  I worked in Oxfordshire for a Private Estate Managing there walled garden and sold the vegetable and flowers to local residents and well as supplying the Manor House. 

In 2000 I hung up my wellies and decided to follow my interest in Professional Cookery and attended Kirklees College Part Time whilst gaining experience in the Industry. Working in a lovely gastro pub and country house hotel in West Yorkshire.  Since those early years I have developed my own style of cooking and ways of connecting with people and place.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity running my own Cafe Business whilst living in South West Wales, Cafe Medina was born here!  During the pandemic years I developed my Pop up kitchen.  

I came home to my roots in late 2024 and would now like to offer my service to the people of Wrexham and North Wales.  It would give me great pleasure to make this a part of my ongoing story.  I look forward to meeting you along the way..
